2 weeks from today
The date below is 2 weeks forward from whatever today is on your device, worked out when the page loaded. Nothing to type in, nothing sent anywhere.

Working it out from your device’s clock…
The date above is calculated on your own device when the page opens, from your device’s clock and time zone. Nothing is uploaded and no date is stored on this page.
The default unit of short-term work
Two weeks is the length most teams plan in. A fortnight is long enough to finish something and short enough that nobody forgets what they committed to, which is why the two-week sprint became the standard iteration in software delivery and why so many rotas, pay cycles and shift patterns run on the same beat. Because it is exactly fourteen days, the end of every cycle keeps landing on the same weekday.
What 2 weeks means here
Your browser reads today’s date from your device and adds 2 weeks, which gives the date above. The same date engine drives the date calculator, so the two pages cannot disagree with each other.
Weeks convert to days at exactly seven each, so 2 weeks is 14 calendar days. That is a whole number of weeks, which is why the answer always lands on the same day of the week as today.
Because the answer depends on today, it is not written into the page. It is recalculated every time the page opens, in your own time zone, and never leaves the device.
Two weeks' notice
Giving two weeks before leaving a job is a US convention rather than a legal requirement in at-will states, and it is counted in calendar days from the day notice is given — so a Wednesday resignation makes the last day a Wednesday. Two weeks is also the standard advance for holiday requests and for cancelling appointments without a fee. If your notice starts on a date other than today, use the date calculator and put that date in as the start.
What the count does not skip
Nothing is skipped here: weekends and public holidays sit inside the count, which is what a plain day count means in almost every contract, notice and policy.
The result box still shows how the span divides — how many of the days are Mondays to Fridays and how many are weekend days — because that is usually the real question behind “will this be dealt with in time”. Public holidays are not deducted from that weekday figure.
Common questions
How many days is 2 weeks? Fourteen days exactly, so two weeks from today falls on the same weekday as today.
When does two weeks' notice end? Fourteen calendar days after the day notice is given, which lands on the same weekday. Weekends inside the period still count.
How many working days are in two weeks? Ten weekdays, before any public holidays. The result box above shows the exact weekday and weekend split.
