How to use the countdown timer
Tap a preset — 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes, or Pomodoro 25 — or type your own hours, minutes and seconds. Then press Start to begin counting down.
Use Pause to hold the timer and Resume to pick up where you left off. Reset clears it back to zero. The big readout shows the time remaining, and the browser tab title updates too, so you can see it from another tab.
When the timer reaches zero, the readout turns red, shows Time's up!, and plays a short, gentle beep. Prefer silence? Tap the sound toggle to mute it.
The beep is created only after you press Start, so the page never plays sound on its own. Everything runs in your browser using your device's clock — nothing is uploaded.
Good for cooking, study and workouts
Kitchen timer: set minutes for eggs, pasta, or a bake and let the beep tell you when it's done.
Pomodoro study timer: tap Pomodoro 25 for a focus block, then use the short presets for breaks.
Workout intervals: set a round length, start, and reset between rounds.

Common timer questions
Will it beep when time's up? Yes — a clear "Time's up!" message plus a short, gentle three-pulse beep. You can mute it with the sound toggle.
Does it stay accurate if I switch tabs? Yes. The timer counts down to a fixed end time rather than ticking a number, so background-tab throttling doesn't make it drift.
What if I enter an invalid time? Blank or zero fields are treated as zero, and Start asks you to set a time first. Seconds or minutes above 59 still add up.
Is it really free and private? Yes. There's no sign-up, and it runs entirely in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
