Time Zone Converter

Pick a date and time, choose the zone it is in and the zone you want it in, and see the converted local time instantly. Daylight saving is handled for you, and the result flags any change of day. Nothing is uploaded — it all runs in your browser.

Pick a date and time to convert.

Your dates, times and zones stay in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.

How to use the time zone converter

Start by setting the date and time you want to convert. They default to right now in your own time zone, but you can change them to any moment — a meeting next week, a flight departure, a live stream start time.

Choose the From time zone — the zone the time is currently expressed in — and the To time zone — the zone you want the answer in. The list covers hundreds of cities and regions worldwide, named by their region and main city, the standard way time zones are identified.

The result shows the local clock time in each zone, the date for each (so you can spot when the answer lands on a different day), each zone's offset from UTC, and a plain-language summary of how far apart the two zones are.

Use Swap zones to flip the From and To zones, and Use current time to reset the date and time to this moment.

Everything runs in your browser using its own time-zone data — your inputs are never uploaded.

Common questions

Why are time zones named after cities? Time zones are identified by a region and a representative city, such as America/New York or Asia/Tokyo, because borders and daylight-saving rules follow places, not just a fixed offset. A city name pins down the exact rules to apply.

Will it stay correct after a clock change? Yes. Because the offset is worked out for the specific date you choose, the converter automatically applies the right summer or winter time, including on the days clocks spring forward or fall back.

Can I plan a meeting across several places? Convert your proposed time into each participant's zone one at a time. The day-shift note makes it easy to see when a comfortable hour for you is the middle of the night for someone else.

Is anything saved or uploaded? No. The tool is fully client-side — your inputs never leave your browser and nothing is stored.
