How to make a passport photo
Pick your document type (the photo is sized to the official requirement), upload a clear, front-facing photo, then drag and zoom so your head sits inside the oval guide — the guide shows the required head height. Download a single print-ready photo, or the 4×6 sheet to print multiple copies cheaply.
This tool helps you size and crop a photo to common official dimensions, but it cannot guarantee acceptance — lighting, background, expression, and head position must still meet the issuing authority's rules. Tips for a photo that gets accepted
Background: stand a little away from a plain white or off-white wall so there are no shadows behind you.
Lighting: face an even, front-on light source to avoid shadows on your face or under your chin.
Expression and pose: look straight at the camera with a neutral expression (a natural, closed-mouth look), eyes open, and no glasses.
Printing: download the 4×6 sheet and print it at a pharmacy or photo kiosk, then cut out a single photo to submit.
